Types of Indonesia visas
Indonesia e-Visa
Indonesia electronic visa is currently issued as a single-entry visa for the following purposes:
- tourism: visiting Indonesia for all kinds of leisure-related activities, i.e., sightseeing, vacation, family or friend reunions, sporting and cultural events.
- business: visiting Indonesia for different business activities, e.g., government business, contract negotiations, participation in business meetings, conferences, exhibitions (as an attendee), and purchasing goods.
- transit: making a transit stop before reaching the final destination.
A holder of an Indonesia e-Visa is permitted to enter the country one time and stay there for up to 60 days.
Travelers who plan to visit Indonesia or Bali for purposes not covered by the Indonesian e-Visa, including permanent employment, should contact the nearest Indonesian diplomatic post to obtain a relevant visa or permit.
Indonesia e-VOA
Indonesia also offers a single-entry electronic visa on arrival that can be applied online. The e-VOA, however, must be stamped upon the travelers arrival in the country.
Its holder is permitted a 30-day stay which can be extended by another 30 days. The visa must be used within 90 days from the date of its approval.
